Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Find answers to the most common questions about our DTF and UV DTF printing services. If you need further assistance, please contact our Los Angeles support team.

1

What is the difference between DTF and UV DTF transfers?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are designed for apparel and fabrics (cotton, polyester, blends) and require a commercial heat press for application. UV DTF transfers are durable, permanent decals meant for hard, smooth surfaces (glass, plastic, metal, tumblers) and are applied by hand like a sticker, requiring no heat.

2

Do you offer Local Pickup in Los Angeles?

Yes, we offer a free local pickup option at our Los Angeles facility. Simply select "Local Pickup" during checkout. You will receive an email notification as soon as your gang sheets are printed and ready to be collected.

3

How should I prepare my gang sheet files?

To ensure the best print quality, all artwork must meet the following criteria:

  • Sized to the exact dimensions of the yardage you ordered.
  • Minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
  • PNG or PDF format with a 100% transparent background.
  • We print exactly what is submitted. We do not resize, arrange, or remove backgrounds from your files.
4

What is your turnaround time?

Our standard production time is typically 1 to 2 business days for orders submitted with proper, print-ready files. Same-day processing may be available for orders placed before our daily cut-off time. Shipping transit times are additional and depend on your location.

5

Is there a minimum order requirement?

Because we sell our prints by the yard, our minimum order is simply one yard. You are welcome to nest and gang as many designs as you can fit within your purchased yardage.

6

What are the heat pressing instructions for DTF?

While settings can vary slightly depending on your specific heat press and garment material, the standard recommendation is to press at 300°F - 320°F for 10 to 15 seconds with medium-heavy pressure. Allow it to cool slightly (or peel warm depending on the specific film details provided with your order), peel the film, and do a second press for 5 seconds using a Teflon sheet or parchment paper.
